Stage 1 · Measure
Every opening, in three places.
Four installation services for homes, designers and property managers, quoted after a free measure.
No two openings in a house are the same width, and plenty are not square. We measure each one individually, at top, middle and bottom, decide inside or outside mount deliberately, and fit square to the window rather than to the wall that is out of true.
Every opening, in three places.
Mount type, stack and control side.
Cordless or inaccessible cords where children are present.
Fitted square, operation checked.
What the hardware actually has to carry.
Studs located, correct anchors chosen.
Set so the fabric hangs and clears properly.
Dressed and checked level.
Lined drapery is heavy, and a rod anchored only into drywall will pull out eventually. We locate studs or use the right anchors for the substrate, add intermediate brackets on long spans, and set heights so the fabric hangs level and clears the floor the way you intended.
Drywall, plaster, block and stud walls all hold weight differently, and a heavy mirror on the wrong anchor is a genuine hazard. We find out what the wall is first, set gallery walls out on paper before a single hole, and tell you honestly when something needs a different position.
Drywall, plaster, block or stud.
Set out and agreed before drilling.
Rated for the weight, with margin.
Checked, and checked again.
Before starting, not halfway.
To the instructions, in order.
Tall units anchored as required.
Packaging removed, floor left clean.
Flat-pack furniture is forgiving of nothing: one panel reversed early and the whole piece is wrong by the end. We build to the instructions, anchor tall units to the wall as the manufacturer requires, and mount televisions within the bracket's stated weight on fixings the wall can take.
